“Samruddhi Mahamarg Drives Progress and Connectivity, Shaping Dreams on the Road.”
Nashik : As the Samruddhi expressway nears its final phase, the ambitious 701 km highway linking Nagpur and Mumbai is poised for completion in 2024. The imminent traffic movement on the 23 km stretch from Bharvir to Igatpuri in Nashik, expected as early as February, marks a significant milestone.
This super expressway aims to streamline travel between the two major cities, with the remaining 78 km from Igatpuri to Amine village in Thane set to be finalized by July 2024. The impending culmination of this extensive project is anticipated to usher in a new era of improved connectivity and reduced travel times for commuters.
The ongoing construction of 15 viaducts, including the impressive 84m tall, 1.8km long structure in Shahpur, Thane, is a key development along the 78km Samruddhi Mahamarg. The plan includes opening the 23km section connecting Mumbai and Thane for vehicles, utilizing the Igatpun connector linked to the Mumbai-Agra National Highway. Anticipating completion by July next year, MSRDC officials affirm that the entire expressway will be operational after finishing this stretch’s construction.
